Head brewer Robin, also a cardiac surgeon, began brewing in 2003 and is a former VicBrew Champion. He has spent many years as a judge for brewing championships and his surgical background reinforces his appreciation for the meticulous science behind beer brewing.
Brand and Sales Manager Brad joined Robin five years ago as an amateur brewer after they met as colleagues in the medical field. Brad, a perfusionist, is well acquainted with the mechanisms of tubes, pumps and filters and is committed to the progression of pairing quality beer with food.
Inspired by all things heart-related Black Heart Brewery was born out of a love of quality beer. Respecting historical characteristics our beers are all natural with no chemicals or additives. A small volume boutique brewery, we aim to stay true to our handcrafted procedures.
